Parenting Guidance and Support

Parents are an integral part of a child's healing and wellbeing. When parents work closely with the therapist, the therapeutic process is that much more impactful. If your child is in therapy at our practice, we will regularly communicate and work together. We will always strive to collaborate with you and strengthen your relationship with your child.

We also offer parenting support whether or not we are working directly with your child. For many families, starting with parenting support can be a helpful first step, and sometimes all that’s needed before a child begins therapy on their own.

We support with:

  • Adjusting to parenthood

  • Responding to tantrums

  • Creating family limits and rules

  • Supporting your neurodivergent child

  • Navigating co-parenting and divorce or separation

  • Healing from family trauma

  • Building parenting skills

  • Strengthening the parent-child relationship

Interested in joining a parenting group?

Groups are a great way to connect with other parents who are going through similar challenges. A therapist gently guides the conversation and offers support and ideas, while parents share their experiences, build new relationships, and gain valuable insights from one another.
